Baishakhi Celebration Resonates with Tabla Trio at Nabankur Sangha Hall, Siliguri

Siliguri, April 27, 2026 – The spirit of the Bengali New Year came alive 21st April as Nabankur Sangha Hall in Siliguri hosted a vibrant Baishakhi celebration, marked by an enthralling evening of rhythm and melody. The highlight of the event was a Tabla Trio performance presented by three promising disciples – Amit SahaPriyanshu Nandy, and Raumakh Paul.

The concert was jointly organized by Prampara (Kolkata) and Sohini (Siliguri), two organizations known for promoting authentic Indian classical and folk arts.

A Trio to Remember

The disciples, trained under the guidance of their guru, delivered a synchronized and deeply engaging tabla recital that celebrated the rhythms of spring and new beginnings. The trio’s coordination, clarity of bols, and command over traditional tala structures drew warm applause from the audience.

Welcoming Noboborsho with Art

Baishakhi celebrations in Siliguri have always held a special place in the cultural calendar, and yesterday’s event proved no exception. Attendees were treated to a mix of classical percussion and festive energy, reflecting the rich heritage of Bengal’s Noboborsho.
