Guru-Shishya Parampara Samman Conferred on Tamal Das at Patna Festival
Patna, April 13, 2026 – Noted artist Tamal Das was honoured with the prestigious Guru-Shishya Parampara Samman on April 12 during the Nrityaradhana GuruAnugraha 2026 festival held in Patna.
The award was jointly presented by renowned guru Shri Ratikant Mohapatra and Smt. Harjot Kaur Bamhrah, IAS, an Indian Administrative Service officer.
In an official statement following the ceremony, Mr. Das described the recognition as a “golden milestone” in his artistic journey.
“I am honored to announce that on 12th April, at the Nrityaradhana GuruAnugraha 2026 festival in Patna, I received the Guru-Shishya Parampara Samman from my guru, Ratikant Mohapatra, and Harjot Kaur Bamhrah, IAS officer. This is a golden milestone for me,” he said.
Mr. Das expressed deep gratitude to his mentor, Shri Ratikanta Mohapatra, and Smt. Rajashri Praharaj (Rosy), stating that their blessings were instrumental in achieving the honour. He also extended thanks to Smt. Imli Dasgupta for providing the opportunity that led to this accomplishment.
